At Daemion Counseling Center, our vision is to create a community where mental health is a top priority and individuals can access the resources they need to achieve optimal well-being. We are committed to providing compassionate mental health care to individuals age 14 and older, couples, and families. Our dedicated team of licensed therapists and counselors specialize in helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and a wide range of emotional and mental health concerns. We envision a world where people, without regard to their ability to pay, have access to services and programs that will address their mental health needs.
Daemion Counseling Center is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit community-based counseling agency that opened its doors in 1970 when a group of concerned community members met informally in their residences and crafted the concept of Daemion House, an effort to support runaway teens and their families. The ultimate goal was to reconcile teens with families, while trying to ensure the safety of the teenagers involved in the interim. The office and volunteer staff members were initially housed in the basement of the home on the property of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Devon, Pennsylvania.
Over the years, Daemion has updated its mission to reflect the evolving needs of the community. It has transitioned from an agency that met critical needs in times of crisis to Daemion Counseling Center, offering in-person and virtual counseling and holistic programming.
Daemion Counseling Center offers professional mental health counseling focused on helping community residents navigate life’s many transitions by providing expert yet affordable care for individuals age 14 and older. Our services are accessible and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community.
We host an award winning Mindfulness Walk and Talk Series in Valley Forge National Park led by Daemion's licensed professional counselors. We also offer wellness sessions as part of our Helping the Healing Professionals program where yoga, meditation and sound healing are introduced. We believe in a holistic approach to mental well-being, where each person's unique journey is valued and supported.
Whether you're seeking guidance through life's transitions or dealing with deeper mental health challenges, our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and confidential space for healing and growth.
